Exploring the possibilities with polymer clay!

Our sister PAPCG member Barbara Braunstein, 73, passed away suddenly on
February 16, 2007 at her home in Vineland, where she had lived since
1963 with her late husband, physician Leonard Braunstein.

Barbara, mother of four, was an accomplished multi media artist and was
a Niche Award Finalist in 2006 for her fiber pocketbook with polymer
clay beaded handle. She had also won first place in mixed media in a
Cumberland County show.

Barbara  was a devoted member of our S. Jersey Clay group, and her
daughters told me she spoke often of the fun she had with her “Clay
Ladies”. He sudden death was a very sad shock to all of us, and she
will be sorely missed.

Here is a picture of some of her pocketbooks, which she showed at our
September and December S. Jersey Open Art Studio Shows.

  1. I am so sorry to hear this. I didn’t know Barb very well, but hung out with her at the Clayathon and she showed me some of her truly outstanding work.
