White Balance that is. So the first tool I got to help me with my photography set up is the ExpoDisc. You can read about it here: http://www.a-digital-eye.net/expodisc.html. It has made a huge difference.
I just put the filter over my lens and use the manual white balance feature to set the stage. You take the filter off and take pictures to your heart’s content. I repeat the process whenever the light changes.
I used to have to correct the color and contrast in my digital photos with software. No longer. All I have had to do is crop and resize. Easy!
This picture from my garden required no special editing. So great! Taking nice pictures of jewelry and small objects without stalks and leaves does need a little more set up, so tomorrow (if there isn’t too much at work) I’ll show the new lighting set up I used for the Show and tell Pictures.
