I will be headed into Philly for our Meetup!
And how do I know there will be 23 polymer artists there? Because Meetup.com has an RSVP list and you can message your friends who will be coming. Did someone at the last meeting have some great new tool you wanted to try – see them on the list and send them a message! You can arrange a car pool or a pre meeting breakfast with a friend.
Now is the time to learn how to use Meetup so you don’t miss any of our future meetings. After May, this will be the way we communicate. Sign up for your free account at Meetup.com now. And RSVP to our meeting! Our group, Greater Philadelphia Polymer Artists is HERE.
This Sunday Martha will be teaching us from a course designed by Olivia Surratt:
Want to learn a new way to showcase your polymer Clay? Have a few beads you love but not enough to make a necklace? Love the look of chain jewelry but don’t know where to begin? Join us and learn how to make beautiful cold connection chains (no fire necessary) to combine with you beads. You will learn how to make three kinds of links in less than two hours.
Martha will provide the copper wire, two wooden dowels and sand paper. I will also have a ring mandrel available. I will have a few spare pliers, files, hammers and cutters.
Please bring the following if you have them
Tools: chasing hammer or similar metal hammer; round nose, flat and chain nose pliers; cutters that cut up to 16 gauge wire; small steel block; small metal flat file. Optional: small ring mandrel.
For more information See our Meetup site HERE. Free to current members. $10 at the door for non members.
More from Martha and her unique optical gear on Sunday!
