Summer break is over and guild meetings are starting up again. Time to put away the sunglasses and break out your clay. Our first two meetings will not be held at Hillman because the room is not available in September or October. Our alternate meeting site is Blue Santa Beads, 1165 West Baltimore Pike, Media, PA 19063
Blue Santa owner Sara Caldwell kindly volunteered her wonderful shop for our next two meetings. There is a great workroom to meet in and Sarah will be offering our members a discount on her products. Blue Santa is stocked with a wide range of beads, polymer supplies and much more. The shop has a parking lot parking and is easy to get to by car or public transit. Get directions here.
The other big change is that we are going back to membership instead of a pay per meeting system. For the low price of $40 a year, you’ll get all the benefits of membership. For more information, go to our website, here.
Please join us for our September meeting where we’ll be taking a trip Into the Forest with Emily Squires Levine. We will be making elements for the Into The Forest worldwide collaboration. Read about this ground-breaking project on the Into The Forest Facebook page here. Emily will share ideas for making leaves, mushrooms, and other plant forms that might be appropriate for inclusion in the project and will bring samples for inspiration. All clay will be provided by Polyform which is generously supporting this project.
Update: Read about Into The Forest installation currently on view in Philadelphia here.
